My Philosophy
I believe that pregnancy and childbirth are natural processes that should be celebrated and supported. My approach to care is informed and mama-focused. I am committed to helping women and their families have safe, positive, and empowering birth experiences. I strive to provide support, education and resources towards Evidence-Based Care and Mother-Baby Friendly Care during each stage of pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.
About Me
Hi! I’m Kaitlyn! Owner and Birth Doula here at Cradle + Bloom.
I was born in Montana, but have lived in North Dakota since I learned to walk. I am married to an amazing man (in the pic above) and am a stay-at-home-mom to 4 beautiful children. My own pregnancy and birth experiences are what inspired me to go into birth work as a profession. It was during my last two pregnancies that a fire was lit in me to help mamas have positive, informed and empowered birthing experiences.
In my (rare) free time I love:
- Soaking in every second of 1:1 time with my husband
- Quality time full of chaos + adventures with my kids
- ”Trashy” reality TV shows (The Kardashians, The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, ya name it)
- Iced coffee (specifically from Balancing Goat - Mandan)
- Trying to perfect all the sourdough recipes
- Cooking + Baking (especially on a rainy fall day)
- A good book (Romance or Thriller? I’m in.)
- A night out with my friends with long talks, lots of laughs and yummy drinks
- Traveling to new places + trying new things

I am a certified and in-person trained BEST birth doula.
I offer a range of services to support every mama throughout her pregnancy and childbirth journey. This includes prenatal meetings, childbirth education classes, labor and delivery support, postpartum support, lactation support, access to resources and referrals to prenatal and postpartum care providers.
